Curious to hear about what areas are hit? The email called out some specific stacks.

The VP of Customer Success (formerly SVP of Tech Support) was laid off along with his admin. Also another Sr. Director/Exec. of Customer Success. Seems the CSM team is getting hit hard and I heard they cut the entire Singapore Customer Service team.
I got mine today Enterprise AD&S, difficult to understand the selective nature of the layoffs but after 18 months and building territory, relationships, team mates, and fighting daily working hard this is the great reward, well no thanks I cannot recommend Citrix to anyone in the future!
Top to bottom the miss management was terrible and started with failed setting of reality and 2021 quotas which they admitted, total PM failure with NO INVESTMENT LEFT post (WRIKE) to integrate ADC, and then failed to deliver SD WAN, along with ADM, BOT, DDoS, etc. etc. Citrix backfilled with CR-P OEM white label agreements to fill security product holes resulting in what is a pile of mis-fit toys!
Sadly I was too dedicated to Citrix, actions today prove it's not the same in return of for that employee loyalty. I feel lucky today as its not going to be very positive at all in 2022..
Seems to me that almost every team was given a quota to hit. Every team in CC had impacts, TPM team had impacts too. And then major products were whacked.
These are deep cuts and 15% is massive. Watch how mgmt responds by stopping the additional bleeding for the top rated people leave bc they will find where the growth is.
Has anyone had success negotiating the severance package? What a cr---y time of year to try and search for a new role. Any insight is appreciated!
There were a number of Engineers (developers) in IT and a couple of Technical Program Managers let go. One was in Support and another IT. No clue about severance, but I believe many good employees will choose to leave and the Citrix job boards will be begging for people by Q2. I don’t think they will have an easy time hiring anyone new.
Finally it seems there is some light at the end of the tunnel. After laying off the base of the pyramid multiple times with no results it seems they started to understand the issue is at the top of the pyramid and started to get rid of the id--ts running the sh-t show. It is time for a CEO that understands that leading at Citrix is not about cost cutting. Someone with vision, what David never had. And many of his buddies like PJ were in the same boat. Yes sad day due to the layoffs but reality is Citrix needs a shake up and a good one, getting rid of all the useless id--ts (that are many here) that do nothing to move the company forward.
CEM and SD-WAN took a massive hit.
Seems like 20+ people are affected in the UK. Our team got an email saying we were unaffected.
Doesn't seem that many people really, I expect it's some of the engineers and product managers in Cambridge working on the now deprioritized products.
Engineer here, I was the newer hire on my team so not shocked but disappointed still.
It looks like Citrix Endpoint Management took a massive axe. The PM and several engineers for that product were just let go. What a shame.
I saw this coming. The Wrike acquisition was a horrible mistake. A company that has nothing to do with the core Citrix model. Citrix continues to buy companies that are not core business focus. A lot of good people got laid off today for the inadequacy of Management. At least I know I did the best I could with what I had while I was there. Citrix core products and its people are good to bad Executive Leadership Team can't do their job.
I wish I got 10 weeks of severance. I've only been here about 6 months and just got royally screwed.
That $60 - $90 Million "employee severance arrangements" number seems to confirm the statement that about 600 folks are to be let go.... more or less.
Citrix SEC 8k states the following:
The Company currently expects to record in the aggregate approximately $130 million to $240 million in pre-tax restructuring and asset impairment charges
associated with the Restructuring Program. Included in these pre-tax charges are approximately $65 million to $90 million related to employee severance
arrangements, approximately $40 million to $75 million related to the impairment of right of use and other assets from the consolidation of facilities,
approximately $20 million to $35 million in contract termination costs, approximately $5 million to $40 million related to the impairment of certain
acquired intangible assets and other charges associated with the Restructuring Program. The majority of these charges will result in future cash
expenditures, and the program is expected to be substantially completed over an approximate eighteen-month period.

SEC 8K form on restructuring
Ive heard of a few Sales Engineers and Technical Account Managers from the east and west coast get fired today.
Greenfield got hit which wasn't surprising since they hadn't produced. But why start these new lines if you won't support it for more than a few quarters? Waiting for the severance talk, which is supposed to be ok... We'll see.
I have heard the director of Customer Service and a Senior Manager got laid-off. Both good cuts. Also, a Senior Manager from the Continuous Improvement dept. along with most of his direct reports.
Entire transformation office is being broken up with the leader let go
Just got my notice. I’ve been here for about 6 months. Everything about Citrix has been a joke. They lied to get me onboard and now this. Terrible company and even worse management. I’m better off not on their payroll. Citrix is a company without ethics, morals, or ability.
2, 4, 6 weeks based on level + 3 weeks again based on level for every year with Citrix.
Anyone know the severance package
I thought it was all supposed to be over by 11am EST?
I am getting mine at noon eastern. It only took 4 rounds of layoffs to finally get me.
The email to the company basically said that the product direction failed, so its not surprising a product management director got owned in this.
alliance marketing & strategic programs and team axed
""Someone on my team in CVAD did. Hardest worker I know and been here forever. Heartbroken. Take me instead! "
We were told CVAD wasn't getting hit because they're a core part of the refocus strategy...any more info?"
(Hey I posted this^^)That's what I thought! He is in Program Management. A Product Design Manager on my team also was laid off but he was on the Citrix Cloud side not specifically CVAD. Seems like more of a middle management cut more than cutting because of the team they are on.
Overall, Citrix is not a bad place to work (if you are on a good team that is). I enjoyed my tenure because of my colleagues, but i think if you are looking to work for a tech company in general, you must be willing to understand that these are industries where constant change is part of the business. I went through the big layoffs over the past few years and was "safe" up until now. Basically, what i am saying is that just because you are safe a year does not mean your turn is not coming.
My issue with the company is not the culture itself (i loved being remote and managing my own time), but rather the leadership that seems to somehow still remain alive. For instance, why is the head of HR still there? they have been eliminating many jobs and laying the "little people" off and yet the big head of HR, her direct reports, etc, etc are still there. So WHEN do they realize that maybe the cancerous part of the business is at the top instead of the bottom? I mean, the CEO was let go so when are some of the ELT's that have been stagnant going to go? Let's face it, they leave with NICE EXIT PACKAGES. They never leave with 10 weeks pay as a severance package. They leave with 6 figures as severance packages (200k, 300k, 400k etc).
Again, i love the culture with the flexibility (at least on my team), but i hate the constant uncertainty, lack of direction that Citrix has always been imposing on us from day one.
As someone who worked as Citrix partner.. Citrix ELT screwed us pretty hard in terms of new partner policies in Q2.. that came back to bit them

Anyone know of any ELT members getting the axe yet?
It's likely the phase 1 of another big layoff coming next quarter. Thats when some products will be shut down.

Purchasing Wrike (nothing against the company) was a massive and expensive mistake. No real fit with the Citrix tech stack. Should have never been bought. Citrix should get rid of most facilities. There is no need to pay for most of the facilities when the majority of the workforce is remote. Stop buying companies, make what Citrix has better and cut on non-people expenses. Also, there is no real reason for leadership to make 10x or more in salary than the rest of the workforce. Fundamental human values matter more than most people are willing to accept.
P Hough also.
please post your titles and/or product areas ffs lol
Looks like Raleigh is getting hit hard.
i was affected. I just got the news. Alot of leadership is going down to include the head of HR (ELT).
No, management in the list so far that I am aware of. Not even those who largely f*ckd up and led to this disaster.
Today is the day when $hitrix sets a great example of Integrity & Respect values. Indeed a great place to work! Go $hitrix!
Please state the job titles of the people you know who have been let go.
