If you are not getting the shot you need to get a medical exemption for the vaccine. On Jan 5 all unvaccinated workers will be sent home if you have a medical exemption you can draw your sickness benefit for the time listed on your exemption. There not that hard to get just ask the employees around you, most know the doctor in the area that will give you the the exemption you need to qualify. If there going to send you home make them pay you.

@OP You should only file for a medical exemption if you have a diagnosed medical condition that prevents you from being vaccinated. Any doctor that grants one for any other reason (which you’re implying) risks losing the ability to practice medicine at a minimum. Keep in mind that UP knows quite a lot about your medical history, as do most other employers who provide health benefits.
Or, just get vaccinated. It’s way easier than trying to game the system.
I'm hearing today that internal emails are going out to utility workers that fall under the Fed Contractor EO are being exempted....evidently they are realizing the back office is not going to fill the glut of early retirements over this.
NOTHING OFFICIAL to link to yet....but I have personally heard from two different folks I know in the separate parts of that industry.
No idea what it means for the rail industry in the end, BUT it is a sign that they're cracking AND it gives the lawsuits ammo in court. Hold the line.

I still don't care either way. I do at least know when my last day will be. Sorry but I'm not going to continue to work for this employer. I will not sit there and be lectured by them as to why they think they know what's best for me or what my medical decisions should be.
Rather you're getting the shot or not you need to completely ignore the governments and your employer overreach and not register your vaccination status.
If we don't volunteer the information they won't have it.
