Do you guys think the ovm position will be around next spring? My store has 3 ovm and they just walking around with coffee in their hands all day and once awhile they help with merchandise. Does anyone ovms actually working?

if you want my thoughts if you was moved over from AP manager to Ops and sign a new salary they just hood wink you. the knew ops is going and they wanted to unload your higher salary in AP manager role to now take that role away also.. so you are left with bye bye

Our OVM works hard most of the time, especially now with massive fulfillment numbers having to be picked and packed every day. We can't keep any of these seasonal hires working and the team is exhausted
We have 2 OVMs. One works her tush off!! The other does absolutely nothing all day. She’s even too lazy to carry a cup of coffee all day. When I say nothing, I literally mean nothing.
Pffft, Not my OVM. They work her like a red headed stepchild! Store Mgr. always calling out her missteps but not helping her with things that are out of her control. Talk about multi tasking… I’m sure she’s being called upon who’ll in the restroom!!!
Well look at the bright side.. your all being let go in feb so enjoy the pain while it last
Depends on the store. The OVM for my department doesn’t do much either because we have a lot of support associates, they hired so many people. She walks around and tells the sales managers to tell us what to do. She’s extremely obnoxious as she recently got promoted to that position also.
The OVM’s I know work like dogs. Their work is never done. Responsible for receiving, fufillment , visual , merchandising…..signing,markdowns, inventory, …….They have so much responsibility and not enough support.
I’m an OVM and I guarantee I don’t walk around drinking coffee. The support team is so short staffed we’re working 12-14 hour days EVERYDAY. We have 10 trucks next week, plus markdowns, signing and BF set ups. I don’t know any OVM in my division that is walking around. We’re all commiserating on how terrible this season has been.
