Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

Break up / Shake up

Has anyone heard anything from the 301 Knobs at Hall about this announcement, or is it crickets as usual?

In uncertain times it’s vital to have strong leadership, extremely important to get info out to the membership. Critical to have leaders front & center ready to take the reigns. Lynn’s leader’s did just that, not only that but were vocal , demanding answers & reinvestment in the work force by the Company.

Come on Papas boys , where are you?

You won't have any of Aviations leverage anymore. Even if the union was talking Scott wouldn't listen. Hopefully day one of the new Energy he closes 273. Congrats by not wanting to "work yourself out of a job" you worked yourself out of a job.

The stated expectation would be to meet with the membership, bring them up to speed. Share information, be front & center to answer questions, address concerns. Re assure the membership you will push to get answers- Ya Know - Things that leaders do.

If they knobs need to be told this- they don’t belong in those roles

What are you expecting the union to do? Tell the board they cant break up? Are you going to file a grievance? You should plan a walkout.

Are you serious? The days of the hall being able to demand anything are long gone. If they hold true to form, they’re already scrambling to save their own skins when this is all said and done. Don’t count on any information from them that doesn’t match the company line.
