Expectations are increasingly unrealistic.
Who will do all that work in this miserable company?
I gave up on meeting their demands and I've been working only the bare minimum ever since UP started demanding things that are not possible not only mentally, but also physically. UP lacks common sense.
I could go on and on about the specific things that UP demands from employees which are not realistic at all, it would take days to list them all.
How bad where YOU are at that this meltdown is??

I gave up giving a damn about that place. They can pile up all the expectations they want, fulfill those expectations, and will still blame you when something goes wrong. The management is horrible at best, equipment is falling apart, folks are leaving, and the executives still think the RR is the best it's ever been.
I work 8 hours a day and try and do the same as my managers do if they don’t do much work I try and do as much as they do so they lead by example they don’t work I don’t work either

Here’s onefor you guys in my work location the thing to do is to switch or to hump 300 cars per shift no bonus and no quit. Since there is no incentive to get 300 cars switched the new thing is to see who can do the least amount of cars. This is the only way to get any kind of incentive because 200 cars switched pays just as much as 300 cars. Meanwhile yardmasters and managers get bonuses based on how many cars we switch. So if I bust my tail and do a good job and get 300 cars switched the yard masters and managers get my incentive aka bonus etc. What a joke!
