That must mean the hiring freeze will continue for longer than we thought.
Salesforce laid off about 90 people in the recruiting function on 10/12/2022
With the new Co-CEO announcement they won’t be laying anyone off for a while. They’ll do their best to cover up bad press first -

Layoff unlikely. The attrition rate in the APAC region is unprecedented so we have plenty of roles to fill. Some reshuffling of resources may happen in underperforming businesses.
Always prepare for a reorg and layoffs at Salesforce. It’s their way to ‘success’!
