Is there going to be any reorg or Rockwell Automation layoffs? Any chatter, news or rumors?

Working at Rockwell was everything I expected working at a large public company to be. You are really only a line item on a P&L when conditions warrant, that item gets deleted. No loyalty…. As they say…. It’s business…. ROI, EPS, ETC. have to keep Wall St happy. Made many good friends and learned much over 11 years.
However…. Made more decisions in one month working for a small business than I did at Rockwell in a year. Also felt more if an asset than an expense.
With the number of people leaving voluntarily I don't think a RIF is imminent. The strategic changes seem to have left many employees bewildered as to the actual long term play.
It would not surprise me if a major diversification is about to occur to shed the traditional Allen Bradley product (high manual labor & facility overhead) as the company shifts the portfolio to a higher percentage of recurring revenue of software fees. This is purely speculation, but nothing would surprise me. It seems to be all about the shareholders, and little about employees.
Company culture only means so much. Two percent merit increases speak volumes. Even my "exceeds expectations" only got an additional one percent. Don't hold your breath waiting for a promotion.
I walked away from my role at RA. I really didn't want to. I enjoyed my job, the challenges, and the people. But there were too many conflicting priorities, underfunded and understaffed projects, poor communiques from senior leadership, and after seeing so many colleagues get walked out it was just too demoralizing to keep pretending. Who Moved My Cheese?
Changing companies is similar to leaving the rust belt states in February and stepping off the plane in Florida. The grass may be just as green, but the manure is just as thick too. Unless you have an "on the job retirement plan" why wait would you want to wait for layoff to find you? I would rather choose my own destiny on my terms.
