It's Q2 right now and there are no layoffs. The company is hiring agressively.
I just joined Southwest and there are no layoffs here as far as I know. I was with United before and we had about 70K employees. About 200 fired as they did not want to vaccinated. This is the overall staff. There were about 10K pilots and about 100 were put on unpaid leave because of vaccines, I think there was a few that were terminated directly as they declared they will never vax.
