Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

We are being used as an ATM by McK

I have never worked for a company before as TD that is so dependent on those Strategy Consulting guys. McK now and Bane before that. We are spending thousands of $$ every day. SM and NC are ex-McK. They are just draining money from us with some common-sense "strategy" and taking literally months to deliver any type of content with substance. Unless we get out of the culture of relying on someone for corporate strategy (meaning that we hire ELTs with strong and sound VISION of their own), TD will not succeed. We don't need a McK appointed "Strategy Officer" who needs to read out of a script (and not even good at of that).

Another mistake of having a single C-level leader who oversees both PM and ENG. We already saw it was a total disaster with RP. Why repeat the same mistake? Especially HA does not have enough technical background to be able to make right architectural decisions. I feel that TD has been TOO eager to fill the "female CxO" check box. Don't get me wrong, having female CxOs is great, only if she has the right skillset to lead.

They cut to the bone everywhere they can so that to fund these blood s*uckers from McK and Bane and now a newly hired one to help with variable comp. at the same time internal resources with a wealth of knowledge are being removed further and further away from projects like this one. What a great “strategy”

Isn’t there a guy in GTM that was a leftover from Bane? He was there with NH and he is just as clueless yet is still around. That is another wasted salary on executive level that just can’t seem to perform.

I heard NH was hired because he's a family friend of VL. Honestly I have no idea what NH did every day. GTM is such a mess - It just went to a total mess under NH and they are still struggling to get out of the big ho-e. Huge turnover in the organization - Many new teams that get absorbed by GTM just get disseminated or emptied out because no one wants to work under GTM that has no direction and no leadership.

NC is a laughing stock, he is way out of his depth and nobody takes him seriously. McK have been on the payroll for a year, where are the results? Have any of their workstreams delivered any impact at all other than spending tens of millions of dollars? Anyone tell us why NC has built such a big strategy team, all ex McK and yet he continues to outsource to his McK buddies? How far down does this kid have to drag this company down before someone will take action?

Serious question here. Is there anyone that is truly competent in the TD ELT? I honestly don’t think there is but they are all sucking the company dry. I left when NH starting building his empire in GTM. It didn’t take him very long to fail.
