These people layoff Americans but now have hired people in Asia to do their customer service. So wrong.

Comcast is in the process of peeling off as many US-based employees as they can and ship them overseas. The one thing that they're doing to get around the warn act is because they have on the payroll employees in the Philippines and in India where they pay them pennies on the dollar compared to their US counterparts. This is a devious practice where they have US employees that have worked faithfully for Comcast for years and now they are forcing them to train the replacements. That is not something that is rumor that is something that is happening right now as we speak. Additionally the overseas workers are not very good and that is not conjecture that is fact. High paying Comcast business customers are going to leave in droves because of this.
Not just customer service… project management, analysts, engineers. They are Comcast employees just overseas.
Agree. Comcast Business and ops/support are going to get hit hard, especially middle management. I feel badly, so many people and Direct Sales were just decimated last year. I don’t understand how people don’t see red flags when they are told “you can work from him indefinitely, don’t worry” and then the majority of the offices are permanently closed unless Comcast owns the building. And this company LOVES to outsource to the absolute lowest bidder. Foreign no problem. Move along people….nothing to see here…all is well!!!!!
Comcast has one concern: money. They can get labor for much less overseas. It’s going to happen more now because employees don’t want to return to the offices where they own the buildings and use the “I’ve worked from home for over a year now my job can be done remote” reason. Their jobs will start to be filled by ppl overseas for 75% less cost. And all the rest who have been told they can be full remote now? They’ll start being phased out as well.
