The company was still known as Nexen back then. I never regretted walking out, not for one second. The company was run on nepotism and cronyism while I was there and any chance of advancement was a pipe dream. I worked hard and had no life/work balance for years and for what? To see jokes of employees be promoted over me. I hope for the sake of everybody who's still there that things have changed since then (even though I doubt it).

Nexen was dragged into a dark ho-e by a bunch of ignorant and selfish people that were occupying all management levels. It was a sick culture. Who would agree to form a jo--t venture with unknown company like OptiCanada ? It was for a reason that it’s too late to discuss about: the cow got milked big time and left the barn.
