Thread regarding General Electric Co. layoffs

1. Get forced to get vaccine 2. GE breaks into pieces causing your layoff

A more peevish person than I might feel slightly vexed, cranky, or put-upon by the news of a nearly certain layoff coming AFTER being forced to get the vaccine due to being employed at GE.

@aru+1dJmSKtQ What makes you think GE will be liable for anything vaccine related since the mandate was from the feds???

The company is approving religious exemptions at a very high rate. They are doing what they need to do to keep essential personnel.

Long Term is five years?

I understand the strong feeling on both sides of the vax issue and have no solution to offer. However, my crystal ball is telling me there will be an awe-inspiring amount of backstabbing, frontstabbing, scheming, and jockeying for position among the corporate deadwood and political types for the remaining positions across Healthcare, Aviation, and the energy business (aka the assorted scrap bin of leftovers).

I'm hearing about it today from a lot of the guys who didn't go the exemption route. I'm glad I didn't get the vax since GE likely won't have enough funds to pay a settlement in 5 years, by which time the long term side effects should manifest.

stop complaining. you either should be thankful that you finally got the vaccine to protect yourself and others OR should have left on your your own as you probably believe in freedom of choice that extends to choosing where you work
