Just heard there is a severance coming to the GOM within the next year, not sure who will be effected with the down sizing of Shell.

We already knew this was coming. JG99s will be eliminated. GoM exploration leadership is a joke. They just brought in the most arrogant posers in the company. Perception is everything, not actually delivering. The folks who actually do the work get $#@+ on and never promoted. Also there were a bunch of premature DEI promotions that will not go over well. Most of those folks don't know how to do the work, let alone lead it. Glad it's not my problem! Oh, and shall we even get started on the flop happening in Mexico... what a waste of money.
The gom exploration org is very massive. Nowhere to go but down in terms of headcount.
More good workers will get laid off, more woke will get promoted.
