The only reason I'm still at RJ is that I am over 60, making great money and have knowledge nobody else has on my team. I thought for sure I would have been let go last September when 550 others were but for whatever reason I was spared. Others on my team were not and I feel bad for them. Now I am the most senior and everyone comes to me for advice. I dutifully answer every question asked but never give anymore information even though I know they will be back. My manager doesn't let me take time to document anything (so sad). I see the lack of loyalty and empowerment everywhere. I have 1 year left. I have built up my vacation to near maximum and keep my sick time/PTO at a bare minimum. RJ is a house of cards. Just wait.

I'm still at RJ and now get to go to work one day a week. All the whispering in the hallways (when I'm there) is nothing but complaining about how bad morale is and people still are upset with Paul and his team disrupting 550 families and the fact that HR won't (or can't) bring any of them back. The loss of RJ institutional knowledge is significant. On my own team we lost a number of senior people on that fateful day and now the most senior person has only 2 years of experience. We are barely keeping up. I of course am in IT under the sad senior leadership of Bella.
I have a friend still at RJ. I talk to him once a week and all I hear is complaints. He tells me what the mood is and its very bad. He stays due to health issues and insurance. He has no interest in advancing or doing anything extra.
I am still in touch with a few people in IT at RJ. Morale has never been lower. He keeps his head down, stays logged on at home, ensures he sends a message at least once an hour and watches movies. He is in a support capacity and is rarely called upon. He likes his situation. He is ready should he get let go and will ride this puppy as long as he can. I can't blame him
I have a friend that still works at RJ. They do nothing but attend meetings and reply to emails. He makes nearly $50 an hour for this work. Why would he want to leave. He has limited responsibility no direct reports. Great gig.
I'm still at RJ working in an area of IT. Last September was a breaking point for many of us. Yes I'm still here but I'm stuck. I'm 62. I will stay here as long as I can. RJ no longer gets anything extra out of me and working from home allows me to be lazy and do the bare minimum. My boss has no clue and isn't technical. All she cares about is herself so that's fine with me. Others on my team are doing the same although nobody talks about it. We all know this is going on all over IT. There is no loyalty anymore.
I'm making it work too, like many of my coworkers, we are laying low and doing the minimum to get by until the house of cards falls. Lots of people leaving IT for more money, better work life balance and to get out of this abusive culture. Bella, Vin and Andy reign of te---r will eventually end, we hope.
Sooner or later this might catch up to you. Glad you are prepared. I unfortunately was not and was one of the 550 just over a year ago. I have no ill will to any worker bee but could care less to what happens to any manager or VP especially Paul, Bella, Vin or Andy. May they eventually get what they deserve.
