Thread regarding Siemens layoffs

Changing for the worse

I used to recommend Siemens whenever somebody showed interest in applying for a job here, now I'm warning people away. Too many cuts, too many closings, too many bad managers, and very few opportunities for advancement are only some of the changes for the worse we've faced in the past few years. If you can, find a different company to work for.

When organizations get too large they are very difficult to manage especially through difficult times. Siemens makes an excellent product and was once a pioneer in the tech space. Some great people work for the company. The management team has single handedly destroyed this company's reputation and integrity in the market place by never instituting the proper training paths for technicians and field personnel and a strong back up plan for corporate succession. Pretty sad.

Worst management in corporate America. The most disorganized, unfulfilling working environment. 26 years of dedication to this company and I was let go via email and text!!! Simply disgusting!

The entire company is a complete mess. Managerial Nightmare. Employees are completely disengaged to the point where everyone is literally doing as little as possible with expectations that major layoffs are coming. Terrible
Environment

Building Technologies is being sold off. Typical disorganization when organizations chop up certain sectors.
