Oh look at this…. For years the old white guys ran things, lol. Now they are getting pushed out. How will these guys pay off their multi million dollar mortgages on all their homes and keep the young wife happy?

This is great news. I can’t wait to see my former boss, who is over 50 and a terrible person, get laid off. He basically came on board to state street, pushed out the entire department (no one could stand him, most of the women left his department ) and laid off anyone (like me) who was over 50 and white. Good riddance! Gonna be a lot harder for a senior executive white guy over 50 to find and adequate job to sustain his lifestyle and spending at this point.
All the State Street White males should get together and sue this putrid he-l ho-e of an organization!

This article is from a UK newspaper which is one of the high cost locations that they are reducing employees in, so it sounds better than it is.
I saw radical bias across SSB and it was not just old white guys. Employees only seem to care when it was against them but not others. One Latina employee did not care when a white male manager made a remark stereotyping Indian employees. Diversity is about respect for others, not just the groups we belong to or like. It is like female employees that attack other women in the workplace for everything but not a peep about male managers who do exactly the same thing. If you think that old white guys are not primarily running SSB you are naïve. I am lucky I would truly inclusive work environment in my current job where diversity is actually real.

When they offer you an “interim” position , it’s because they are looking to hire a minority to fill the role. Soon white men will be few in senior roles.
If you are a white male over 50 at State Street, I’d be worried about the next layoff….
