NOV Gateshead has won the Green Apple Award, an internationally respected award given for improving the environment in the area. It is to be collected at a ceremony in London this month. NOV's thanks for the effort that has gone into changing the reputation of an oil company? To cease manufacture and close the very plant that won the award.
