Thread regarding Shell Oil layoffs

Where will GOM be in 3 years?

Is there frowth projected or will they reduce the headcount? Outsource work to europe as technical salaries are lower than US and they may want to keep dutch and UK workers more than americans? Thoughts?

In three years time GoM will have be rocking. GoM is best asset Shell has, it will produce insane profits for Shell for many decades to come.

GoM is now a fat organization with lots of DEI "tallent" - ppt pushing ladies. Disillusioned men have been quitting post reshape.

If not cut externally, they will self implode shortly.

Well there is still a lot of highly paid dead wood in the states. Another cut to get rid of the rubbish, especially the over populated exploration folk who add minimal value and don't work hard.

Likely to divest all GOM assets within next decade to fund the energy transition.
