Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

Do you ever notice how management never thinks they are the problem?

Mgmt always likes to point out how the rank and force need to adapt a "different mindset". Maybe it's mgmt's "mindset" that has Boeing imploding in on itself.
I see a selloff......

Management is the problem - just read the article above. Boeing lost competent managers years ago when fighting SPEEA and IAM... Now Boeing has MD managers and it really shows....

One of the fastest ways to get a warm notice is to publicly disagree with your manager.

I don’t know how in that work culture you expect problems like what Boeing had with the MCAS system to be discussed when employees know if they openly criticize management decision to move forward with it they’re going to be laid off.

This company was part of the fabric that produced the greatest generation ever. Now we have what exists today. Almost like the prodigal son, but with no return.

The management training program at Boeing is really a brainwashing operation in disguise, copying the good old GE traditions of manipulation. It can be summarized in two main tenants the would-be managers must internalize: "You are always right, everyone else is always wrong, and don't ever let anyone or anything convince you otherwise", and "You are the best of the best at the best company on earth". This place is imploding right before our eyes.
