Just wait. And if we do the naysayers can kick dirt
Fine by me that location is easy to get to
Most things I’ve read in here end up being true. So will we move to Briar Lake? Newer building but that area is so less desirable
POC3 hasn't been necessary in years, people. We all know why it still exists though don't we? The precious can't be bothered.
IT doesn't feel like half the company, they feel like they're the only ones left in POC1. Ironic that they move all the computers to Dallas only to have all these deadweights work from home and think of more computer projects to do. I remember when IT was just like General Services. Now they run the company with HR.
"everyone WFH half the week" umm no. A lot of departments are not Hybrid.
Yes we clearly do not need all of the POC's buildings but maybe just one would be a way to downsize.
Relax, it's just a rumor. Who knows if there is merit to it. But the facts are...tons of offices in both our POC3 and POC1 space are empty. POC3 is probably unnecessary, truth be told. How expensive is this office space? With all of the vacancies and everyone WFH half the week, you better the believe the execs are wondering if they're wasting a ton of money paying for office leases that don't get utilized to their full potential. Cutting costs is starting to become tricky with staff reduction because we are basically sailing with a minimum crew size right now (except IT, of course, they're like half the company), so rent reduction is a pretty obvious place to target next.
It just seems like it's a recipe for ditching this location and moving west back towards where the old Briar Lake office is.
