Are there any other pharmacists out there getting slapped in the face with a less than 3.0 on your annual performance review? This is a first for a lot of us! The rumor is that this is how they are avoiding pay raises/bonuses. It kind of makes sense because I was told told earlier this year that raises we’re going to be given so long as you meet expectations ( I.e. a 3.0) No longer would you be required to have a 4 or 5 to get a raise.

Yes, a lot of pharmacists in my district received unprecedented low performance reviews. Additionally, said district is about 20 pharmacist short. So the question is: how does this phenomenon of widespread low reviews help with pharmacist retention ? Well, I’m seeing management from the DM and up going store to store kissing a-s because they can’t afford to lose one more pharmacist. Combine that with the reduction in pharmacy school enrollment,;I do believe we have a shift in the supply and demand folks!

With regards to WBA, it is not the floaters or any of the pharmacists. The blame was the pandemic and people not getting sick and so someone in the corporate hierarchy added script counts to the over all review score. People not getting sick means low prescription count. Look into and ask your managers as to where the scores were coming from. This is nationwide and I think all pharmacists should skip working to be heard or work elsewhere where you can be treated better. Now WBA is having a hard time recruiting or retaining pharmacists. Some job posting are there for over a month now and no one is applying for it even with signing bonus. For a little bit of understanding read the earnings conference call back in March 2021 and last month to see what they really care about. It is tragic.
Yeah out of nowhere really low score. 2.9.
How on earth is the 2 day a week floater responsible for all kpis being low?
Performance reviews at Walgreens are a joke in general, but I am sure they gave you reasons for why they felt like you were not meeting expectations or at least I hope they did.
