Thread regarding Halliburton Co. layoffs

No work

We don’t have any work at the moment, and our managers told us not to come to the shop. Can they do that? I’m going 2 weeks without pay should I quit or is there something I can do?

Nothing you can do except find a new job. They aren't obligated to pay you if there is no work for you to do.

What location doesn't have any work? I know two locations that are booming busy and have to bring employees from other locations in to help.

Back in the day, LOOOOOOG before the company used any opportunity to kcuf over the employee, at EVERY opportunity, the field 'hands' were guaranteed 60 hours a week, whether you worked ZERO hours or 60 hours.
