On the other hand Tom Lanch has survived for 5 years in IoTG, explain that?
People don't leave after 10 months for no reason. Intel culture is toxic, broken and exceedingly hostile to outsiders, especially if they don't just go along to get along. Pat didn't have his back. So he's out. And Intel remains a broken mess.
Rube Goldberg mess
We should have left this company. Better pay somewhere else instead of listening to Pat every day Jesus God, AMEN. It is ignoring.
Keller didn't last 2 years, even shorter than his itinerant stints at the more successful companies. Yes, once smart outsiders pop the hood of the Intel machine, they go F that Rube Goldberg mess and bounce.
How long did Jim Keller stay before he abandoned ship ? Intel turnaround potential looks good from far but is far from good. Once people get a closer look they realize Intel is focused more on diversity and politics rather than technical qualifications.
Begs the question how long will Lavender and McKeown last until they realize how hopeless it is?
Because Intel has far too many managers, they have plenty of spare time to plot and attack against outsiders brought in to clean up.
Most Intel outsiders are appalled at the state of Intel internally. On the outside, they think the can ”fix” things. Once inside, they see what an intractable problem it is.
Too much incompetence.
This guy was CTO at VMWare under Pat. If he's leaving Intel after less than a year, it screams that trust and confidence in Pat's leadership is really, really low.
