Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

Has anyone's Macy's added rugs to their inventory?

I have been hearing word that there are 60-75% off rug gallery's added in some Macys. I'm wondering if it is a bad sign for those particular stores. Just curious.

I'm confused. My store has had rugs for well over a decade. Why is this a bad sign?

We added rugs to our inventory inventory early this summer. Of course there was no plan on how to sell them. We have 8 by 11 rugs that no one von the floor except for me can move. We have to get help in the receiving team if we need to sell a large rug or somebody wants to see one that's on the bottom of the pile. Another classic Macy's shitshow.

We've had the "Last Act" gallery rugs for a few months now. Yes, our store is a "Neighborhood Door" and is supposedly set to close....but who knows.
