Thread regarding Shell Oil layoffs

Destroyer in chief - the arrogant Ben van Beurden

Been rather saddened and appalled at how poorly led is our beloved Shell. When does this guy get kicked out? Seems everything (TED talks, useless PR videos, BLM, DEI) is on his and his cronies mind and not the huge debt we owe from the BG acquisition and how we actually make money for our shareholders. Where is the accountability? Several colleagues have lost their jobs but he gets to keep his - a sad chapter in Shell’s rich history

“To the person who said BVB is a saint and even if as a joke/out of sarcasm, here is the hypocrisy - claiming reduction of emissions by divesting is transferring emissions from your books and transferring it to another company“

i think you should read what Shells strategy is instead of parrotting social media misinformation.

To the person who said BVB is a saint and even if as a joke/out of sarcasm, here is the hypocrisy - claiming reduction of emissions by divesting is transferring emissions from your books and transferring it to another company - when Scotford could have CCS, why couldn’t it have been for Mobile, Puget and Deer Park? If it is about money, say it, but don’t pull a fast one by claiming emissions reduction when all you did was transfer it - very misleading!

LOL No oil company has a rosy long-term future, but we're exiting early.
I think BvB will be remembered for dismantling a company. We have no clue how to run a "new energy" company. Share price is low because investors don't trust us to use oil money to build a new business. They would rather have that money back to invest in companies that know what they're doing.

Maybe better than Voser and Watts, but that's not saying much. Thin-skinned. Several bad decisions on his watch. BG acquisition isn't paying off so much as we're printing money from legacy assets and reducing debt. We would have been better off doing nothing?

Oh negative posts about a company on a site that is called layoffs.com surprise surprise …. Lmfao. Can you find any positive posts on this site about any company ? Fair and balanced right ? Funny reads though and a reminder what sometimes is hiding behind the political correctness of people you work with (or used to work with as the case may be :)).

Not a big fan but market conditions are paying off. Debt gearing is down close to the previous normal pre BG. There is a lot of cash coming in now I agree.
