I was laid off last year after being with UP for a good number of years. I’m not going to sit here and haw about how the company did me wrong. I bounced back rather quickly but during that time I had to ask myself which I regretted more. All the effort I put into the company, or all the family time I sacrificed. It’s a hard rub that’s for sure. I got to hand it to those who are still there. Hope ya’ll are doing well!

You shouldn't regret any of it. You did what the job required, and you did it well. Every railroader makes that tradeoff.
Move on. There's bigger and better things out there.
