Investors looked only on surface and it worked!!! Now company since has tried to acquire 2nd largest global Paint Company, Akznoble and failed! The party ended! Now this poorly managed company has to be judged on its own weak performance true sales #s........ The investments PPG has made in Chiina government and its R&D laboritories also weaken the companys future!

sales numbers do not grow via buying up other companies... revenue may and EPS will but your sales are year over year. When you have to account for the fact that when PPG buys anyone there are some areas of overlap and end up cannibalizing ourselves at times.
True it all started when PPG hosted a large China goverment envoy of banking officals at Allison Park R&D facility 9-10 years ago. Thats when the deal was made.
