Those who can't are screwed. Emerson is not going to improve any time soon.

Really sad to see what's happening. I used to love this company and thought I'd be there my entire career. I was seeing too many great people leave before me, and then lots of leadership changes that didn't make sense. When you find yourself on a sinking ship, energy is better spent switching boats than trying to plug holes.
I worked with a lot of great people that will get screwed. What a waste of talent. Also very depressing to work at an engineering company being led by non-engineers.
I hope for the company that they turn around. New Aspentech deal doesn't give me much hope though.
Stock prices are up because oil is up. It currently has nothing to do with how experienced or inexperienced Emerson's employees are.
I think stock price will do well for the next 1-2 years. Then we’ll see. Losing a lot of experience but bringing on new talent. A bit of a knowledge gap.
Stock price is saying different at the minute.
I think the company going to do down in flames.
About 7 months since I did. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been at a job. I worked for several teams and divisions and the management was poor. No accountability, lot of big dreams that could never be achieved in the timelines given. Managers who had no business being in charge, and who had 0 skills to motivate, coach and develop talent. The only “high talented” individuals were those willing to relocate overseas and come back to a cushy job. Poor company for anyone wanting to build a career, or even start one.
I pulled the ripcord two weeks ago.
Giving up on Emerson was hard.
But I didn’t want to give up on being the kind of engineer that I wanted to be.
Emerson put my career progress in Park.
I put it back in Drive.
And yes, I'm among the screwed ones.
