Why is anyone still here?

Get out, and I mean it. I started just after the sellout to Altice. Thought I was getting a good job. Took me 2 years to realize even though I had top 5 numbers in revenue every month I was never going to get a good paycheck. 3.1 modems don't work right. Repeat on me. Coded for fiber but was coax install, repeat on me. 90+ min time on hold with dispatch. You know what I mean?

How the he-l can you get a backend problem fixed when you can't even get someone on the damn phone?
I worked my a-s off, was never taught any damn thing I really needed to know.
Supervisors dwindled to the point I could get no one on the phone when I needed one.

I took my experience with dealing with this shitshow and went to another company out of NY.

I'm union now. Actually get to do my job correctly, and make a he-l of a lot more money.

Union guys in this company. Take whatever buyout they give. Don't know what you are holding on to. They will sc--w you if they can.

I’m not still there thank god . Got my life back. I just check in to see how miserable everyone is or if anyone grew a pair of ba--s and tried to unionize.

Congatulations, My fellow co-worker I to am leaving Long Island,I will no longer work in a culture of fear,or end up layed off. I think ill stay with Altice,Im 44 years old 2 kids and a wife. Yea ok joking Im out in 2 weeks . Was not easy but found a job with retirement.I will not be the guy who gets laid off ,because as we know stocks fell again today and layoffs are not to far off.Another VRP just went out on corporate finance,and guess what no choice take it or leave it.The company wants bare bones and is only interested in mobile devices.Dont believe me do your homework".Its a done deal here layoffs coming before the holidays . Do some leg work you will find a company that will appreciate you.I can care less now i have less then 2 weeks left.Peace out good luck from Long Island

You know whats pathetic ,all of your ex managers after 30 plus years still cant retire.Some working security or home depot. You guys left keep the dream alive,stocks are down with a prediction of 20,000 more subs leaving. Layoffs are coming whether you like it or not.Keep dreaming of a wonderful life, Its truly sad to see techs so d-mb,20 supervisors,6 managers. over 500 techs and you seriously think you will have a job by Christmas?
