This must be the worse PR camping Oxy has come up with. Only second to writing a poem or a song about feelings for 1PointFive JV or celebrating Pride month! We are inventing nothing new here yet to be Trademarked. All what I can say is this is Zero in creativity. Oxy, Zero In dividends (well, a penny)

When crude starts flowing in a big way the price will drop again into the 50s so we would still make money on an incremental barrel but not like now. Enjoy the good times now because you know what comes next.
Actually, it sounds like @hzf+1d7KKGVn knows exactly how the corporate world works.
And how the focus has changed from finding and producing oil - you know, actual operations that produce revenue – to:
Hey, look at us. Sure we're massively in debt due to an 'ill advised' acquisition. But we're diverse, inclusive, we WFH, we're woke . . . we've got it all !
Well, except for the financial stuff, but that's just minor details. Keep your focus on the Big Picture. Once all the virtue signaling and posturing gets sorted out, the crude is gonna flow like there's no tomorrow.
Younger employees should at least consider @hfz's suggestion re: smaller and/or private companies, if professional satisfaction is important.
Most of those entities have neither the time nor the inclination to go down the endless social rabbit holes – they're far too busy with day-to-day operations. It's substance over form.
But, to each his own.
@ @hzf, it’s a good that you are done with your career and aren’t impacting our company and our industry any longer. Good riddance. You may have known your job, but you don’t understand how anything works in the corporate world, despite pretending that you do. Bye!
“Camping”. Smh
Oxy like most large companies are losing site of why they are around in the first place. Most all of this fluff is driven by HR departments who have become as powerful as anyone in a company. The executives and BOD give HR a lot of leeway when it comes to creating and promoting policies that have nothing to do with finding oil and gas and everything to do with virtue signaling. Many of the policies take away from the day to day work to actually find oil and gas. I feel for the folks in their twenties thru early forties because the next few years are going to be he-l learning to work in this new environment HR and the executives are pushing out. Not all of it is bad, but it keeps everyone's eye off the prize, and waste valuable time for the majority of people.
I am about done with my career, so it does not affect me like all of the younger people, but I would still like to see my young co-workers do their best at achieving what they want with their careers. My best advice to them if they don't like this big company mentality is to try a smaller company. There are many smaller public and private companies where the fluff is less and you actually work to find oil and gas daily. Everyone pulls together as a team with a goal of drilling successful wells to pay the bills. Some of these smaller companies offer good career paths as well, so don't settle on a large multi-national company if you are looking to actually keep it simple and work hard for a paycheck and benefits.
