I am too busy with my work which is increasing every day. I don't know how I could fit it into my daily responsibilities and help someone who has no experience. New people are coming in who are lost and don’t know what to do. Sad.
Did anyone at Macy's realize that these people need someone to train them?
Who are the people who will train them, if there are fewer and fewer people with experience here?
macys never trained anyone... you just get thrown to the sharks and thats it.. why is this a issue now?
Probably fall on the Supervisor or Captain as to training which is funny as these people don’t have the proper time to show them. Not having the proper training equals disgruntled customers which means lost sales. Also lack of training equals many other problems including not knowing how to open service tickets for technical issues for NCR to address.
No one has ever trained the new associates over the holiday period. They have always been thrown to the wolves...
I would add to my previous post, at least you have new hires to train. Here in Southern California we can't get any new hires because everybody else is paying more than Macy's by anywhere from $2 to $4 per hour.
Same thing happened at Sears. Sears would throw people on the sales floor to sink or swim. Training was almost nonexistent.

I agree. Also, who will be asked to stay or have their scheduled changed to help a new hire who works until close. Most associates that I know don’t like to close and wouldn’t want to do more than their fair share of closing shifts.
I shouldn’t train because I don’t always know what I am doing or do everything right.
