Thread regarding Cox Automotive layoffs

Being forced out

I'm being forced out and there's nothing I can do about it. I'm being bullied, lied to, and my every move is being watched. I'd go to HR to report this but I know there's no use. I know of people who approached HR before and had nothing to show for it - other than the big target on their backs. I guess it's cheaper if I walk away instead of laying me off or even firing me. Well, I'm too damn stubborn to give in. If you want me out, pay me!

HR is there to protect the company! They are not your friends, if you don't know this by now your either new to the work force or just stupid

Call HR and inform them of the hostile work environment. Add the word attorney into it and I can guarantee they’ll look into it.

This just shows how poor the one commenter who randomly uses CAPS and the original poster are. Might be the same person. Same loser in all other posts. So desperate and poor and unskilled to leave. The job market is great and many companies have great pay and perks. Losers.

100% make them lay you off. Hopefully you get severance take every penny you can get. Do not let them make you quit. Document everything. EVERYTHING. Save anything important via screen shots. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH HR. HR, even with the appearance of being there to help employees with issues, is not. They are there as the first line of defense for the COMPANYs interest NOT YOURS. They are not there to help you. They are there to protect the company at any cost. If you think you have something, Document Document Document and talk to an attorney. Anything you say to HR will go to your boss, their boss and anyone else they think needs it. There is a handful of things they can't ignore, and will have to address, usually financially. retaliation, harassment, discrimination, se-ual harassment, stuff like that is your main line of defense. read the hand book in and out, use the policies to your advantage. Cox is scared shitless about being sued, and theyll avoid it at almost any cost.

Take the severance if you get it. The market for new jobs is pretty good out there.
