If the public sees the Ford logo on merchandise they will only think poor quality. Can you recall designer clothing too?
Who remembers Professor Moonbeam prattling on about how Ford vehicles would be able to cleanse pathogens off of its surfaces and the air in the vehicle? We were chatting today about how we could just ki-l the C19 virus by sitting in our cars LOL.
We all got a good laugh about Hacketts old greatest hits. It turned out in the end that he was talking about impregnating the plastic surfaces in cars with antibacterial agents, which of course we all know is bad for the environment and it also accelerates the mutation of bacteria into super bugs.
Let's make all remaining Ford employees buy a high end, $1000 "I've been vaxed" designer shirt so we can show a profit from our poor performance selling (and recalling) trucks, cars, and SUV's. Problem solved. So simple.
@5pon+1d2En3s3 Ford is a publicly traded company. It is not a privately owned company. What share holders object to is the Ford family treating it like a privately held company while they, the Share holders, take all the risk.
The Ford family special shares are at the front of the line for payment when the company flops, the general share holders will end up with a pocket full of air.
If Ford was truly owned by the Ford family, then no one would complain about the company mismanagement. But the Ford family will not take FoMoCo private - too much risk for their money, they want to Other people’s money to pay for their lifestyle and special projects.

That position was eliminated for a few years, the director was let go. I remember Elena Ford saying he had a lot less workload than any of the other marketing directors. So I would agree it is a push to the side.

She likely didn't like having to work for the family automotive- I mean "Ford Tech Company" so daddy made up a new organization just for her along with likely a sizable budget for her to hire her friends and spend her time on 'business travel' to exotic locations conducting 'product research' on the Ford dime. This way she can play fashion designer. Because let's face it, Ford family members can't make it out kn the real world. Nope best job in the world working in the 'Family Biz' where you never have to compete, promotions are handed to you, and there's an internal PR machine at the ready to sing your praises in hopes it garners them some type of benefit.

Bad enough we spent $3/4bn on a train station that will never pan out. Sorry but this is pure shameful. Slap to the real people who know what they are doing vs. this.
