Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

How many hours would you work?

I remember that pre-Covid people would complain about not getting enough hours. In China they have something called "Wolf Culture" in which you work to an aggressive "996" schedule. Nine to nine, six days a week, or 66 hours per week. In some places that would be $1125 per week or $58,500 per year. Anyone interested? Please howl!(moon optional)

Oh, by the way, you have to "voluntarily" sign away your vacation.

I’m an enjoyable workplace those hours would be easy to make. I voluntarily will stay but if my manager is constantly asking me to stay as if she/he is using me than it’s always a no.

I usually work 8-8pm during the holidays no problem !

In my store, there are a few people who are working 70 hours per week and making about $1000 -$1050 a week from that. They work 6 days a week but 4-5 of those days they come in early like 7am and stay till late even sometimes til closing time. It’s not worth it at all. I myself worked 70 hours one week on a holiday season and to make those hours I worked the whole week and it wasn’t worth at all. You get so tired and you’re ki----g yourself for very little money, most of it goes to taxes. Not worth it at all in my opinion and you’re basically at Macy’s 24/7, no life. Don’t ki-l yourself. Your health is important.
