Thread regarding Allscripts layoffs

ACE

Allscripts has their annual ACE user group meeting this week virtually while EPIC has their annual user group meeting this week in person in Wisconsin.
Different type of commitment to their clients.

Attendance was ZERO.
Virtual conferences don’t count.
Epic had their’s in person the same week.

It also doesn't give the clients the ability to commiserate with each other about how poor the products and product support are and doesn't allow them to get in the face of leadership to tell them directly.

Cheap sums it up. No one wants virtual. Most everyone is already doing virtual all day . More unnecessary reasons of increased time behind a screen. Not welcomed. Won't be enjoyable or fun. I get it but don't try to blow smoke...

The value of a user group to customers is to be able to interact with each other as well as Allscripts staff. That cannot happen in a virtual setting.

I think our customers and employees are liking this opportunity. A lot more people are able to attend. It is more economical for our customers and for Allscripts. Better to be cautious than to be responsible for a possible super-spreader event.
