I heard there are some people got laid off today. Anyone know more detail?

WD now uses a tricky way for layoff to avoid public report: HR gives the victim variable transitional month then termination. I heard one person got impacted this time who was given by two month to transfer current work/project then official termination. someone was told with 6 months for transition.
So far US finance, IT, some software guys so (stupid), a few others. I heard about one last week, then another one today. It’s not many or they have to file publicly. A few remo workers, but most major sites. I saw some announce of people leaving already. Not sure if that’s because of the layoff. But weird timing because all the good benefits, raise, bonus are coming.
I felt forced to take redundancy in 2019, over 10yrs + service, do NOT trust Emea HR, ruined so many people's lives ....
I think it's most of the US IT department.
