Inquiring minds are wondering when Fido will release the Kraken on the unvaxxed. Fidelity love cutting cost, so what better time to cut the folks that don't like to be told what to do. Perfect opportunity to enhance a young, woke, servile work force and save some cash.

Fidelity management is living up to it’s new reputation of being SuperWoke! Vaccine mandates are just one more misstep being taken that rank right up there with Fido’s inclusion, diversity, and affirmative action hiring practices. The woke BS will negatively affect the company that Ned built. Ned built the empire by hiring the best and brightest and never bought into liberal BS, and definitely wouldn’t push talent and experience out the door over an experimental flu shot that doesn’t work as advertised.

Well we are all quite clear on what helps you sleep at night. Pure selfishness.
The freedom to choose infringes on everyone else's freedom to survive through this pandemic. Please - at the very least, do everyone else a favor and stay home—forfeit an ICU bed for someone else should they catch the virus from the selfishness.
"What world have you been living in? Protecting yourself, contains the spread of virus and reduces it's evolutionary track thereby limiting more mutations which in turn can either spread more easily or be deadlier or worse, both. This is how all vaccines work. "
You are correct that what we associate with the word 'vaccine' is a substance that induces sterilizing immunity against a specific pathogen like measles, or chicken pox or polio. Once vaccinated against these viruses, one cannot be infected by, or get sick from those viruses - nor can they spread them or help the virus produce mutations.
Calling the jabs 'vaccines' is meant to make folks believe that they induce sterilizing immunity so that after you've been jabbed, you can't get infected or spread the virus to others. This is simply not true with the current Covid jabs.
Don't take my word for it - do some research of your own. Here is a link that will get you started: https://wentworthreport.com/2021/08/06/covid-vaccines-are-non-sterilizing/
If you prefer a far more liberal opinion regarding the currently available jabs, check out Bret Weinstein's podcast (or excerpts from his podcasts on youtube or odysee): https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/bret-weinstein-darkhorse-podcast/id1471581521
Or, you can continue to labor under the misconception that the jabs operate like traditional vaccines. Whatever helps you sleep at night...
"The argument at hand is that of 'protecting others' by taking the jab. If it doesn't prevent spread of the virus, then the jab doesn't protect others. At best, it protects only the recipient. As such, it should be left to the individual to weigh the benefit/risk of taking or not taking the jab. "

"Wow. Seriously? Do have a better alternative you’d like to share? If not, then i recommend you STFU."
What a brilliant approach to having a dialogue - telling someone to shut the fu-k up.

Full stop.
“If the jabs induced sterilizing immunity (which is the hallmark of a true vaccine, and something that these formulations lack), I might be inclined to agree with you. Instead, these formulations provide symptom mitigation; and as such, do effectively nothing to stop the spread of the virus.”
Wow. Seriously? Do have a better alternative you’d like to share? If not, then i recommend you STFU. Granted, the vacc is new- as such, they’re doing the best they can under horrendous unprecedented circumstances. How do you not get that this vacc-however flawed you think it is, is the best chance we have? Are you really that selfish and/or stupid?
Think about this: Parents of a friend of mine —both refused the immunization. Guess what? One is now dead, and the other, a widow; and there is a huge cluster within their community now struggling with the Delta variant. Does that sound better or make any sense to you whatsoever? It was PREVENTABLE.
The widow says -now, more than anything, he wishes he and his wife got the vacc, so they could get a better chance at living a full life together. That’s gone now.
It was PREVENTABLE. So please, tell us more about what your perfect/ideal covid vaccination should look like. If you can’t solve the problem at hand, stop being part of it. We are all in this. Full stop.
"Be a decent human being - as in, think of your fellow man—and get it done so we can all put this bulls** behind us."

In short - both jabbed and un-jabbed folks can be infected and spread the virus. These formulations cannot protect anyone other than the recipient - and they appear to be doing a poor job of that if the numbers from Israel are any indication.
Disease eradicated by vaccines, in case anyone wants to read, I dunno, some factual, scientifically based data: https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/parents/diseases/forgot-14-diseases.html
It’s not a political thing, nor is it some bs grand conspiracy. Be a decent human being - as in, think of your fellow man—and get it done so we can all put this bulls** behind us.
It’s a private company and they can do what they want and you are an id--t for not getting vaccinated and thinking you have a right to keep bringing your idiocy to work. I hope they raise your premium 200% - then we’ll see how principled you are.
Delta Airlines simply tacked on a $200/month health insurance fee to their unvaccinated employees in order to try to cover the cost of covid hospitalization and treatment. We'll see what happens, but the national statistics don't lie about who is the riskiest and therefore costliest to insure these days.
Don't take the Vax I'm at WFM in IL they will try their best to make you take the stupid Vax while they and other countries are laughing at us. Some Americans live up to the stereo type of "d-mb Americans"
For being a financial services company, I find Fidelity employees don't actually understand how probabilities work. Simple minds....for all the bluster of having some secrete insights into investing...
"Mandates are good. I don’t want to be working with the unvaccinated. Can’t believe in this day and age my co-workers are anti science, anti vaxxers. Of course they all will use medical help and technology thanks to the very same science they detest. Shame on them." I didn't note that in the obituary right up for this lady...I'm sure she's not the only one, but you'll never know, it's science.

Very rare indeed but you can't win if you don't play.

The door opened for this today with the first approval but not sure they can force this with a workforce that has some 100% remote employees. Interesting twist is that some health insurance companies are looking to charge more for non-vax people just like they do for smokers. This will be interesting to follow what all companies do over the coming months.
