Thread regarding Manulife Financial Corp. layoffs

I can't even imagine what everything will look like after October 1st

Is being a survivor here the worst deal of all? I am currently doing a double workload. We desperately need more people. Because of all the pressure and stress more and more people are leaving. Plus, when people who are training their replacements leave, it will be worse here than ever. Maybe they think I can do a triple job? Honestly, I'm a little jealous of the people who will be leaving soon.

So many layoffs and cost cutting, thought was about bringing stock price up but still in toilet.

In addition to all the people they are letting go, it seems like a lot of top talent also leaving on their own. Saw that JH's CMO has moved on, along with many others. Knowing very few people there now.

Fuel Up Fridays sounds like the perfect time to work on the resume!

Saw today the company touting "Fuel Up Fridays" with afternoons off and extra personal days next year. They pledged last year 5 extra personal days, but hundreds let go before they could use and not paid out. You can bet those extra promised days paid off the backs of those they will continue to let go.
