Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

When is the CRO leaving?

CRO tenure at TDC is 15 months. That’s how long it takes new CROs to realize the swamp they are in. Any idea where TC will be headed? So many sales leaders are leaving. Not a sign of a successful company.

Pat Finn didn't leave because of someone's T Shirts, political beliefs or someone telling him what to do. He left because he couldn't cut it, could not lead the most important region in the company and couldn't hold it together in QBRs.

Look at the AMS numbers for when he was 'in charge...'

For that matter, look at the total revenue decline during Scott Brown's tenure as CRO...

Specialists in failure- not leaders that generated revenue by selling Teradata.

Either way, I am sure that the millions of dollars that they were paid to leave will make them feel better about political T Shirts and drinking Vodka Tonics with colleagues.

Laughing all the way to the local police station like the Keystone Cops.

The plan for the strategy is for McKinsey to bill as many hours as possible. Note that the Teradata strategy team are all ex-McKinsey so you have ethics concerns everywhere you look. Follow the money trail. This reflects so poorly on SM’s leadership. Rookie CEO move. NC’s pompous attitude has alienated almost everyone he interacts with. He may be the worst ELT hire in the last three years and that says a lot.

Does anyone know what is the plan for the new strategy? How long have they been figuring out the strategy for selling a database?

That’s why PF left. He was not going to take bs off inexperienced consultants like NC telling him how to run his sales organization. He was also repulsed at HA’s political t-shirts. Any former police or military felt like Teradata was against them. Find a less woke place to work.

Rumor is TC is leaving due to frustration with the never-ending strategy work and disrespect shown towards the sales organization. They should make NC a salesperson for a year and if he can’t make his quota, fire him. If he makes it, he can keep his cushy strategy job. #ArmChairQuarterback

How can you keep a salesforce motivated when 8 out of 10 customers are actively looking to move off your technology? Some are still held hostage due to application migration risk and complexity so they lift and shift into the cloud. But ultimately they will all go to a cloud-native solution. Teradata’s part time CTO has been asleep at the wheel for the past 15 years.

I can’t even count the sales leaders who have left Teradata recently. The Wal Mart sales leader just left. I guess that confirms we’ve lost our traditional best customer to Google.

He's been here 15 months, so give in another 3 before he flies the coop :)
