Thread regarding Marathon Oil Corp. layoffs

Do you think we will have a vaccine mandate

Wondering if you think we will have a vaccine mandate or what protocols will be in place for the new Houston office if case counts are still high

Vaccine mandates and booster vaccines are being pushed by vaccinated people who aren’t happy with the effectiveness of the vaccine they took.

Last comment is untrue. MRO was a leader in O&G to force people back to the office. So Race Car driver finally led the pack in something. Can’t wait till we move to the new cube farm.

Marathon will not mandate vaccines until several other O&G companies do so because the ‘leader’ of MRO is not a visionary person, but is a “me, too,” follower who copies the thoughts and actions of others and is enamored with British accents.

“What about the unvaccinated with natural antibodies (previous SARS Cov 2 infection)….should we fire them too if they don’t get the vaccine?”

"vax or find a new job. save the indignation."

Since the company doesn't require vaccinations, the indignation is yours to save.

HR lady’s reply on today’s info session was, “At this time, we have no plan to mandate the vaccine.” And then her nonverbal said the rest after her response.

It'll be more of the same I am sure. "Social distance" and "mask up" bs. How about just let us WFH?

Should they mandate it? No. Will they? Who knows in this environment unfortunately.

Yes, we should mandate vaccines. The heck with individual choice and medical privacy.

The company knows what's best for you.

Those on ventilator are the un-vaccinated. The vaccine works. Vaccination should be mandated by Tilman for on employees. Good for the company and the USA.

Marathon has been negligent since Day 1 on covid. They’re not going to protecting employees now.

Going into the office should be voluntary. Forcing us into a Petri dish is asinine.

If they still want those tax write-offs, there will be no vax or mask mandates.
It's Tejas, dude.
