Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Based on this, we all need to leave and lock the door behind us (wouldn't that be wonderful, though?)

Signs it may be time to leave a job

  1. You are underusing your skills.
  2. You are not following your passion.
  3. The work environment is unhealthy.
  4. There are no opportunities for growth.
  5. The company's future is in question.
  6. Your ethics are being compromised.
  7. You are grossly under-compensated.
  8. Your values are not aligned with those of the organization.
  9. You are no longer able to fulfill your job responsibilities.
  10. There are substantially better opportunities available at another organization.
  11. You need more work-life balance.
  12. You dread going to work.
  13. You can’t picture yourself there long term.
  14. You wouldn’t want your friends to work there.
  15. Everything feels overwhelming.

Having employment rights like the rest of the 'developed' world is indeed wonderful. The US empire uses, abuses all of us for profiteering and capitalistic greed for endless profits. Your 'health' 'care' is also tied into your employment at will...NO other real country does this. It's vile. Yet, the masses are sated with bread and circus. Stockholm syndrome US ians.

There's no such thing as 'good' debt--only bankers and the govt think it's good bc you become a slave to the govt/corporation. 30,40+yrs and little to show for it except CONsumer things...Good luck

It was Friday. They told us there was a special AM meeting. Those on the CONference call were fired by a robotic sounding HR lackee. Cubicle /office items would be mailed back, computers etc..sent back to the company. Emails, passcords inactive that AM. That's the corporate CULTure.

Why would you care abt the company "future"? It's not our company-we're not investors, board members, trustees, partners, owners, ...we're just employees/debt /tax slaves. Do the minimum and go home.

  1. The company's future is in question.

In this case, the company imposed to thrive. It is the workers who are in trouble.
