They are out of this mess of a company and I'm pretty certain all of them have found new (and better) jobs by now (at least the ones I know have.) Those of us who are stuck here with layoffs always looming over us, we are the unlucky ones. I'm almost sorry I wasn't among those affected...

If you want to leave ask if you can get laid off for the severance package. During the BU merger and layoffs I knew somebody who asked yo be kid off so they can get the free pay for a year and then retire. It has to be approved by HR. If there are anymore layoffs and you volunteer it will make their decision much easier and you could possibly be saving someone else's job.
