Thread regarding Ford layoffs

King of Confusion: FoMoCo

Do we really expect customers to believe anything we say. Great way to torpedo a launch with double speak, pushbacks of delivery dates, replacing NEW tops, and some can have and some can't have the soft top (structural issue?). Note the "its all COVID's fault at the supplier location." Need someone to blame again.

Earlier today, Ford Authority reported that all 2021 Ford Bronco orders already produced with the molded-in color (MIC) hardtop will have that top replaced due to quality issues. However, the downside to this decision is the fact that all hardtop orders that have not yet been scheduled for production will be pushed back at least to the 2022 model year. Those that have ordered a four-door can simply change their order to a soft top to circumvent this wait, but two-door order holders are stuck, as Ford North America Product Communications director Mike Levine confirmed today that there are currently no plans to offer a Bronco two-door soft top.

After reading the Detroit Free Press last Friday regarding the BOD & Jim the clown Hackett regarding targeting Older workers. I no longer believe anything they say. Nothing but liars. My nephews were offered jobs at Ford I told them to stay away. They did. There is no future for anyone at Ford. Work is going south of the border both assembly and design. If it were not for the benefits Ford would be a ghost town. If you want people to go offer a decent package you will over achieve then you can go hire moth people south of the border. I will not longer buy any Ford products. Lump Sum which I already took. I don't want to leave them anything.

Understanding (via Bronco forum) that the number of parked Bronco’s now rivals parked 150’’s. We now make defective vehicles to sit in the sun unsold. What happened to us? Seems like the Bronco team worked in the dark based on outcome. Note that Farley and leadership stay hidden in this disaster. Ostrich management at its finest.

I still haven't even seen one on the streets here in Detroit area yet. But this is so sad. Ford cannot catch a break and or the messed up big again.
I blamed the 2020 Explorer launch and quality mess on a premature launch. That vehicle needed at least 9 more months of development and prove out to be a good vehicle. But with bronco, my gosh they had plenty of time and delays to get this thing sorted out.
And I don't get why the designers insisted on molded in color tops, they should've just made them all white anyways. Looks better and more retro. Plus easier and cheaper.

My neighbor bought a Bronco. He had a Bronco when he was a teenager and wanted to relive that experience. I suggested he wait a year or two but he had FOMO as he is 71.

The poor guy has had problem after problem with the Bronco. The dealership tries to lower his expectations and blames Covid. Instead of reliving his misspent youth he is spending time at the dealership.

His view of Ford has certainly changed.
