Reality. There’s only one constant in this whole mess of getting back into deep debt = deldumbbo. Loves to borrow money. Why is he still there? And this new board ? Incompetent much? And everyone thought it was the former ceo. lol. Wrong.

This acquisition will be offset by the imminent STX divestiture.
The goal here is to reduce the geographic spread and focus more on key gas-producing assets.
Expect further divestments in oil (Rockies the obvious next candidate) and acquisitions in Appalachia.
Until the banks decide to liquidate the whole CHK circus and recoup their $$$

On page 9 of the most recent CHK 10q on the SEC website, filed yesterday, it says we lost 144 million in the first quarter of 2021 and 5.5 billion since January 1, 2021.
Why is a company, fresh out of bankruptcy, but still losing money hand over fist, buying other companies?
I thought CHK would come out of the bankruptcy chastened. Instead, the CHK executives are, if anything, more defiant, more arrogant, more contemptuous of basic business principles.
The non-GAAP cash flow artifice is hilarious. I guess it’s all they got.
