Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

On a lighter note, Part 2 - Happy Friday

Hiring and Welcoming continues @ Teradata. Stock continues to Soar. As the company strengthens its capabilities to support the GTM organization, yet another ex-Oracle joins the team. The ELT is still not where it needs to be, as they struggle to lure the remaining executives from Microsoft and Oracle who lead innovation and growth for Zune, Bing, Bob, Windows Me, and Siebel.

Steve was heard saying “I’m chuffed at the Teradata stock price, I’m absolutely buzzin! We are not done faffin about yet, and we are gonna crack on!”

When the milk from the on-prem cash cow is all sucked into cloud ARR, where will the new milk come from? Ask McKinsey 😉

The whole place is a mess. People that do good quality work, have no growth path or recognition. People that just "faff about" have nothing to show for their high paychecks. They send expensive emails, make coffee, sit in their home office den and surf the net. Anything that goes above their head, they google and act like they are the experts. It's a beauty contest on who gets recognized and awarded. No idea how people get promoted in this organization. Growth in cloud is not from new logos, just moving on-prem to cloud.
Every single deal is bloated and DOA.

I’m exiting the future ( which doesn’t exist)

No new customers this year !
Cloud revenues is conversion of onprem to cloud .
TD on azure is unstable
Large attrition +Layoffs resulting in lost skills .
