Judging by this board and the people I know, all they need is to ask for volunteers. Plenty will be happy to jump at the opportunity to get paid to walk away from this place. That way everybody would be happy - those who want to leave and those who want to stay. Sadly, something like this would never happen. It makes too much sense for this leadership.

They don't do it that way. It's too humane and reasonable. They use it as a tool to keep everyone toeing the line.
They do t need to lay off any sales reps - most of them are already gone and more leaving daily…
The company has never done it like that. It is a pity, but I assume they amount of volunteers might be more than they can handle.
