I thought there was a pandemic and the hospitals are overworked and understaffed with not enough beds. This is what I knew to be true until I recently printed out my charts from a 2 week hospital stay I had in 2019 that shows EVERY NURSE that is in my chart is no longer effectively working there with nearly 90% of them having a last day of work being June 9, 2021. Here is the breakdown:
55 staff members are on my charts from 2019 in total (not including doctors)
30 Registered Nurses
6 Certified Nurse Aides/Assistants
2 Licensed Practical Nurses
11 Technicians
2 Residents
1 Respiratory Therapist
1Physician Assistant
1 Clinical Documentation Specialist
1 Physical Therapist
49 out of 55 of them had a last day of work at Saint Joseph Hospital on June 09, 2021.
Does anyone know why?
