Thread regarding Pioneer Natural Resources Co. layoffs

I can't believe there are still people who believe there is such thing as mutual loyalty here. People who think they are safe from layoffs because they've been here for a long time and have given it their all every day. I'm not sure how many times we've seen people who thought the exact same thing laid off without a second thought and why? Because their pay was high enough to make them a target. But there's no convincing some people, they're sure there were other reasons for it and there's nothing they should worry about. How can people be so blind to something so obvious is beyond me.
