Big push before a lot of the T’s hit the streets. It will be again for some and first time for the rest. No call backs for the laid off. GE is cutting positions to run 273 as a skeleton plant just to cover service contracts. 66 will be shut down and they can not bump into 273. Unless the union give up something to keep the unskilled T rates another 6 months.
They are busy because first pass yield is probably less than 10%. All that rework takes time.
They need to get all the work done by Q4 so the layoffs can begin.
