I’m sorry, do people on here seriously not know minorities with bachelors, masters, and doctoral degrees? I have nothing against hiring people with high school diplomas if they can do the job, but saying that they are lowering the bar for minorities is not accurate.

Why is it as a white male I had ~15 yrs of manufacturing experience, 5 years as an engineer (worked my way up), a few promotions in ~5 years, a BA (not in sciences, but, "Well Rounded." ) had to go back to school and get an AAS in hard sciences, when they are hiring minorities with only a HS diploma??? I am all for giving the minority folks preferential treatment when the candidates have similar backrounds. Requiring one to have at least a 2 year degree (white male) and hiring others with a HS diploma is insulting. I am sure the PhD Engineers would rather converse with folks that can speak in scientific terms than other. I know there are females/minorites that are not held up to these standards. They wouldn't even hire me until I had a sciences diploma in hand. INTC has become a social experimnent, not a science based company. Good luck! You will lose unles you change your methods.
